Is there age that is too young to hunt here in Michigan? A Northern Michigan lawmaker believes the answer is no, or at the very least that the decision as to when a child is ready to pick up a rifle and hunt is best made by a parent. The State of Michigan successfully appealed an Otsego County district court's decision to dismiss the illegal deer feeding case against Ken Borton. Borton was charged with illegally feeding deer from bird feeders. Borton said he just wanted to feed birds.
