March is National Essential Tremor month. It's a neurological condition that affects people of all ages and medication doesn't always help. That's why a certain procedure called deep brain stimulation therapy is becoming more common. It's available in southern Michigan but Munson Medical Center in Traverse City is able to monitor patients once they've had the procedure.

The Relay for Life-Grand Traverse County kicks off in June but now is the time for teams to start coming together and fundraising for the 24-hour cancer walk. The Relay will take place June 8th and 9th at the Grand Traverse County Civic Center. This year's fundraising goal is: $95,000 with a goal of 60 teams. Relay organizers say right now they have about 25 teams set up.

During 7&4 News Today, The Cherry Capital Men's Quartet performed LIVE. The quartet has been around since 2008 and started as a Valentine's quartet. Now, the men sing at various local schools, functions and for holiday occasions.

The second annual HeartChase is coming up in a just a few months but now people are getting teams together. The event through the American Heart Association aims to raise awareness about heart attack and stroke. The event is chaired by 7&4's Melissa Smith and is scheduled for Saturday, August 11th at the Traverse City Open Space. Teams will meet at 9 a.m. and finish the event at noon.
