After maple syrup producers enjoyed an exceptional season, Forest Tent Caterpillars are attacking maple trees, removing their leaves. The impact of the caterpillars on the trees may not be significant this year, but if similar infestations occur next year and the following year, the damage will likely affect maple syrup production.
