Two people are badly injured, after a boating accident in Manistee County.

Two people are in the hospital after the boat they were in ran into a break wall. The Mason County Sheriff's Office says the accident happened Thursday night when a 1979 Slicker Craft Boat crashed into the North Ludington Break Wall.

Officials will be salvaging a sunken charter boat near the First Street Pier in Manistee Monday after it sunk with seven people on board Saturday. The First Mate, 55-year-old Michael Bachus, required CPR and was later pronounced dead.
