Wednesday, March 06, 2013  March is National Essential Tremor month.  It's a neurological condition that affects people of all ages and medication doesn't always help.  That's why a certain procedure called deep brain stimulation therapy is becoming more common.  It's available in southern Michigan but Munson Medical Center in Traverse City is able to monitor patients once they've had the procedure.

Wednesday, February 20, 2013  Dick Sharkey was not a candidate for another invasive heart surgery, his cardiologist recommended a minimally invasive procedure called, transcatheter aortic valve replacement or TAVR.  In September, Munson's Structural Heart Clinic starting offering the new procedure.
