Like so many districts in northern Michigan, the 102nd plays host to a Democratic battleground in the August Primary. Consistent with other districts, the winner will face a Republican incumbent come November.

Meet the candidates running for the 102nd District State Representative! The 102nd covers Mecosta, Osceola, and Wexford Counties and is currently being served by Rep. Darwin Booher who is running for the State Senate. A fourth candidate Thomas Hren is running but was unable on the days of taping.
