With Halloween right around the corner we are wrapping up our spooky Now You Know series with something a little unexpected.

In the past few weeks we have been featuring haunted places in Northern Michigan.

I stepped foot inside of the eerie Bowers Harbor Inn in Traverse City to see if ghost Genevive was present.

I tip toed through the History Center of Traverse City, which used to be the old City library that an old librarian still haunts

And in my last venture, I battled goosebumps at the Blue Pelican Inn in Central Lake that a few lost spirits still call home.

This week I steered away from the haunted theme and decided to step into the shoes of a funeral director and see how she preps the deceased for their funeral.

Tune in tonight at 6:30 on ABC 29&8 to see the behind the scenes work of a funeral director and embalmer.

Busy moms get fit and feel good fast

Lose Weight! No I'm not picking on you, that just happens to be one of the top New Year's resolutions for 2013. But for some of us, that is easier said than done. Trying to carve out time to get fit while juggling kids, work, errands and household chores can seem almost impossible. But I found a few quick workout plans for the busy moms out there who want to shed a few pounds or build up some muscles for a "Supermom" body. The best part is you can do them all in your home or at the playground with your kids.

Break a mirror with these ugly Christmas sweater ideas

It's that time time of year again...time to sing Christmas carols, bake cheerful cookies and head to the thrift store to snag a new ugly Christmas sweater!I did some "research" on Pinterest to day and found a few ideas that will make your sweaters look like Christmas barfed all over them.

How Pinteresting: Quick and creative last-minute gifts

Procrastination can get the best of us anytime of the year, but it can be even worse during the holidays. The bumper-to-bumper traffic can be enough to keep anyone inside until the holiday rush is over, but if you don't get out to get a gift you may be left feeling guilty once the gift giving begins. If you do get stuck in a rut this season, I found a few quick and inexpensive gifts you can whip up as late as 10 minutes before you're due to give a gift.
