Lovin' the spas
TRAVERSE CITY -- My mom taught me the best things in life at an early age: Godiva chocolates, peppermint mochas, and spa treatments.
When I was in college I saved up money every month to treat myself to a massage or manicure. My passion for relaxing has grown now that I have a somewhat stressful job. When I go on vacation I research the area and try to find what seems to be the best spa in the area. One of my favorites is in Clearwater Florida called Safety Harbor Resort and Spa. It sits on the Fountain of Youth so the water is suppose to make you young forever.... I chug it.
One of my favorite spas in Northern Michigan is Crystal Spa at Crystal Mountain. While some go to the resort to ski, I go for the spa! Sitting by the fireplace in the relaxation room... reading a magazine in the hot tub.... now that's what I call winter getaway! Apparently I am not the only one that has noticed Crystal Spa - Spa Magazine just named it the #1 Hotel/Resort Spa in the Northwest, Mid-Atlantic, and Midwest! Woo Hoo!
