Since I was a little girl I was putting on my plastic dress-up shoes and singing into the back of a hair brush.

Singing has been a passion and a creative release for me for as long as I can remember.

I sang all through high school in a gospel group and in the women's choir.  I formed an awesome bond with my choir teacher Dave Fazzini.

After graduating MSU, I had decided to further my education and attend Specs Howard Media Arts School.

I knew that while in school I was going to need to find a job to support myself.

To my surprise, I was contacted by my high school choir teacher Dave Fazzini who I hadn't heard from in years. He said his band "Cancel Monday" was in need of a new female lead vocalist.  I jumped at the opportunity to do what I love and make some extra money.

Before getting to 7&4 News I was singing with Cancel Monday Band for over a year.  In that time we did hundreds of gigs that included private parties, weddings, appearances on WJBK FOX 2 News in Detroit, and an appearance on the WJR Mitch Albom Radio Show.

Like all bands we went through a couple of band mate changes but finally we have created the ultimate group of musicians and singers that play a variety of music genres including: Dance, Funk, R&B, Soul, Top 40, Motown, Rock and Jazz!!

Here are the men of Cancel Monday Band:

Dave Fazzini (my old choir teacher): Vocals/Keyboard

Glenn Olds: Vocals/Bass

Cole: Guitar/Vocals

Jeff Michels: Drums

Spence Beaman: Sax, Horn, Flute, Trumpet

So yes I'm still singing with my band 'Cancel Monday' downstate but after getting a taste of the nightlife around Traverse City I’ve come to appreciate the amazing live music scene here…and I want in!
