ISABELLA CO. -- Deputies have located the man who walked away from his home late Friday night.

The Isabella County Sheriff's Office said Juan Romero III was located at his mother's home in Chippewa Township early this morning. Romero told deputies he had been at his mother's home for "a couple of days."

Romero was reported missing Friday night after authorities say he was involved in an assault on one of the workers at the group home where he was staying.

He is being held on an arrest warrant for the assault in the Isabella County Jail.

Deputies coordinated searches with several different groups as they said Romero was "not capable of taking care of himself" and suffered from several mental disorders.
