GAYLORD -- The Salvation Army is hoping to fill some job openings at its new family thrift store in Gaylord.

A job fair will take place Wednesday from 8:30am to noon at the United Way building at 116 E. Fifth Street.   The Salvation Army needs to fill 30 part-time, seasonal job openings.  The new employees will be responsible for setting up the new Family Store located at 919 S. Otsego Ave.  The building is the former Dollar General Store.  The Family Store will open to the public November 1.

Interested applicants need to bring two forms of ID to the job fair.

The public is also encouraged to donate items such as clothing, shoes and jewelry for the new store.   A Salvation Army truck will be at the store to collect items from 9am to 5pm seven days a week.
