The body of  U.S. Air Force Tech. Sergeant Matthew Schwartz arrived Thursday.

TRAVERSE CITY -- The northern Michigan community is honoring a fallen hero.

The body of  U.S. Air Force Technical Sergeant Matthew S. Schwartz arrived Thursday morning at Cherry Capital Airport.   Community members lined the streets to honor the fallen hero as his body was taken from the airport to Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home.

Visitation will be held Friday from 5 pm to 8 pm at Christ The King Church in Williamsburg.

The funeral will also be held at the church on Saturday at 11 am

Technical Sergeant Schwartz will be buried at Grand Traverse Memorial Gardens.

Governor Rick Snyder ordered U.S. flags throughout the state to be lowered to half-staff in honor of Technical Sergeant Schwartz on Friday.
