TRAVERSE CITY -- Slippery Roads are being blamed for a school bus crash Friday morning.

It happened around 8:30 a.m. on Cedar Run Road near Harris, just outside Traverse City.

The Michigan State Police tells 7 & 4 News that there were no students on the bus at the time and that the bus driver was not hurt.

The accident remains under investigation but the police say the driver did not receive a ticket.

Officials with Traverse City Area Public Schools are also following up on the accident.

Paul Soma, Chief Financial Officer &. Executive Director of Operations for TCAPS, tells 7 & 4 News every time a bus is involved in an accident an incident report is drawn up.

The law also requires the bus driver to go for an alcohol and drug screening test, but it is not suspected to be an issue in this case.
