TRAVERSE CITY -- The Registered Nurses Association in Michigan also known as RN-AIM was created in Traverse City but is now the state's new American Nurses Association constituent.

Registered nurse, MaryPat Randall started monthly meetings in Traverse City with other nurses back in 2003 to talk about professional issues and to build networking.  Finally, in 2007 RN-AIM was officially created.  The group meets monthly in Traverse City to provide free education, networking and support to any nurse or nursing student in the area.

Jane Miller, the current Northern Region Chair along with MaryPat Randall sat down with 7&4's Melissa Smith talk about their national honor and what it means for the local medical field.  To see the complete interview check out the video clip above.

There will also be a celebration for this achievement with the original RN-AIM founders at Munson Medical Center, Thursday, March 8th at 6 p.m.

For more information you can contact MaryPat Randall at: (231) 590-8624
