The Michigan Department of Transportation tested a brand new snow plow in Mackinac County on Thursday.

The new "tow plow" has already been used downstate, but now drivers in Northern Michigan will be trained on how to use it.  The new machine is a snow plow attached and towed by a standard plow truck, allowing one driver to do the work of two.

MDOT officials say the plow can clear an area 25 feet wide in one pass.
