MECOSTA COUNTY -- A man is facing charges after leading Mecosta County authorities on a chase and ramming into a patrol car.

Mecosta County Sheriff's Deputies tell 7&4 News that it happened Saturday night just before midnight. They tried to pull over a 49-year-old man from Wyoming for speeding on Northland Drive near 12 Mile Road, but he would not stop and that's when the chase started.

The suspect lead deputies onto Jefferson Road, before trying to drive the wrong way onto the South US 131 entrance ramp. He veered off the highway and ramped into the deputies' patrol car.

The suspect was arrested and faces charges of Fleeing and Eluding. His name has not been released.
