ELK RAPIDS -- Today was the start of the 57th annual Elk Rapids Harbor Days.
The fair opened today near the harbor, but most of the crowd was up along River Street. That's where the Opening Ceremonies took place, music was playing, and different food vendors lined the street. Emergency personnel was also there, letting kids explore their trucks and learn about their jobs.
You can also head to the beach of course- where later this week there will be horseshoes and live concerts.
Each day of the festival has a different theme. The parade and fireworks being on Saturday as a part of family day.
Money raised from Harbor Days benefits schools, clubs, and non-profits in Elk Rapids.
