    Friday, November 09, 2012  Everyday at Arlington National Cemetery there are moments that take your breath away. Such was the case recently when the remains of 7 United States Marines, who were thought lost forever when their plane crashed during Wolrd War II. The families of the fallen were told that the plane went down in the Pacific Ocean and that their remains were unrecoverable. That was the truth the families lived with for almost 70 years, until one day, deep in the jungle, a discovery that would finally provide them with some closure.

    Wednesday, November 07, 2012  There is a place at Arlington National Cemetary where every hour of every day visitors can witness perfection; a perfect uniform, a perfect ceremony, a perfect honor. High above the rows of headstone and heroes you find The Tomb of Unknowns. Standing guard by the tomb is a member of the Army's 3rd Infantry Regiment, the so called "old guard." The are men who have stood watch for more than 50 years over the unidentified remains of our veterans. They are men who are handpicked and go through extensive training before accepting their duty.

A flag draped coffin, a firing party, and a bugler are the images we expect to see at graveside funeral services. If you look closely though you may notice something you didn't expect, a lady. She is an official part of the ceremony, and by title, she is an Arlington Lady.
