The parking lot at the Manistee Township Hall was packed on Thursday evening as dozens of residents packed tightly inside to hear what superstore Meijer representatives had to say about their potential building plans, during the Manistee Township planning commission meeting.

UPDATED WITH VIDEO: Construction to restore and reopen the historic Vogue Theatre in Manistee offically started Wednesday morning. Dozens gathered outside of the 74 year-old landmark theatre for a special ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the start of the restoration project.
