Answer I am a local, independently owned and operated, home based travel agency specializing in cruising; that combines the latest technology, with old-fashioned customer service. Isn't it cheaper to just go online and book it myself through a "big box store", or through the Cruise Line directly?
What is the best price you can get me?
My first response would be: You should book through me because of my Value. I will save you both time and money & my personal attention to every detail will make sure that you have the results you are hoping for in your vacation. You will always be able to contact me with any questions or concerns. I would then follow up with asking some questions in order to find out what cruise or land vacation best suits the needs & budget of the client. My Goal is to find out what the customer really is looking for. Most times the best price is not always the best solution. Question What is the one thing you would like potential customers to know about your business? Answer That using a travel agent will save them time & money; and in the end create that worry free family vacation that everyone saves their hard earned money for. As agents for the cruise lines, we do not charge for our basic services and offer equal or better cruise deals than the cruise lines offer on a direct basis.
Cruising is the fastest growing segment of the travel industry and is a great value. If you compare a cruise to a traditional land based vacation, including transportation, lodging, meals, entertainment & gratuities you can see the outstanding value of cruising. Answer If the customer has just booked on the internet with a "faceless" corporation, that company will most likely not do a thing to help if something goes wrong at anytime before or during the vacation. The customer will not have the personal attention that I will give them; as well as my 24/7 availability to take care of their needs. I also have great resources to pull from to very possibly get better pricing, room upgrades or on board credits for the clients that the "faceless" corporation may not offer. I have personal cruise vacation experience, and ongoing training that I love to share with my clients. Question Why is it valuable to customers to get to know you and your staff? Answer Customers will immediately hear my passion for what I do. Once they get to know me they realize how much I can and will do for them, and that they can trust me for all of their vacation needs. Question What do customers need to know before they call you? Answer If the customer has a general idea of where they would like to travel, an approximate budget, and dates of their travel that helps greatly to get the process started. First time travelers don't need to be afraid to venture out and try Cruising or an All-Inclusive Land Vacation.
