Our Grand Opening marked the first furniture store in Traverse City of its kind. Our founders had the notion that if you offered the most current style, color, and comfort in fine home furnishings and accessories, and provide complete room planning and design service, they would return and tell their friends.

And return they did! Golden-Fowler Home Furnishings has grown from a small space in a shopping center adjoined to Olesons Food Store…expanding into a beautiful 27,000 square foot showroom at the same location, offering the widest selection of it’s kind found anywhere…still locally owned with 6 designers on staff…supporting 16 families…and still holding the same values:   Provide Northern Michigan with quality home furnishings at sensible prices, plentiful selection and custom choices, and with the best service anywhere!

Community Involvement

Golden-Fowler Home Furnishings is the annual sponsor of an exciting home fashion and design-oriented event that includes local auction contributors, wine tasting, live music, hand-held food from 15 local eateries and caterers….with 100% of the proceeds going to benefit Child and Family Services of Northwestern Michigan.

Our hearts and energy also benefit Father Fred Foundation, Women’s Resource Center, Abba’s House, Gladhander Auction, Dakoske-Phoenix Addiction Treatment Center, Traverse Symphony Orchestra, and The Historic City Opera House.
