Beautiful Belle Oakes Living Center is a distinctive and affordable retirement community. Located in the heart of Northern Michigan, Belle Oakes offers a retirement community at it's best. Our mission is to promote and maintain the privacy, dignity, comfort and highest level of independence and safety of each tenant.
With 34 suites ranging in size from our spacious 312 sqft Studio (Efficiency) Suite to our luxurious 576 sqft deluxe one bedroom suite , you will find Belle Oakes Living Center will meet all of your needs in a comfortable and peaceful country setting.

Question Where is Belle Oakes Living Center located? Answer Belle Oakes Living Center is located halfway between the vibrant communities of Cadillac and Lake City, Michigan. The area is well known for it's recreational opportunities, hospitality and beauty year round. The thirty four suite retirement living residence at Belle Oakes Living Center is the first phase of the center's development. Plans are in progress for a second, third, and fourth phase for the Center. Opened in 2003, suites are currently available for occupancy.
Question What is Retirement Living? Answer Belle Oakes Retirement Living is a special combination of Housing and Services to promote the highest level of independence for the tenants of Belle Oakes Living Center. In addition, we provide access to a more personal level of care with coordinating Home Healthcare Agencies in our area.
Question What types of activies are available at Belle Oakes Living Center?
Answer We strive to help our community members lead active lives. Our staff regularly schedules activities, trips and events while actively encouraging all to particpate. Belle Oakes Living Center offers many different types of weekly and monthly activities to keep our tenants active and enjoying life. Everyone who lives or works here are all part of our family. A broad range of programs is directed by the activities coordinator. The planning and implementation of activities comes from requests by tenants, families, staff, and volunteers.
Examples of a few such activities are:
• Birthday parties to which all community members are invited. Families and friends are also encouraged to participate
• Celebrations of various holidays, both secular and religious
• Musical events and performances featuring local artists
• Hobbies, Arts and Crafts
• Games that foster both one-to-one relationships and group activity. Bingo is a favorite for many, but cards, chess, and other games for smaller groups are also available
• Outdoor activities include gardening, fishing, or just enjoying time in the sun alone or with a friend
• Special Events like our own version of Survivor, where everyone participates
• Trips and tours to community events
