GRAND TRAVERSE -- You couldn't tell by looking out the window, but spring is on its way and that means spring break for local students! To celebrate and give local families something to do for their week off ,the State Theatre on Front Street is playing a whole week of free movies! Each day's movies are selected according to a general theme. Some theme days include "Tom Hanks Day" and "Chick Flick Day," giving lots of movie options for the whole family and the entire community is welcome.

The official Spring Break Free Movie Marathon starts this Friday, March 22. Though the movies are free it is a good idea to pick up tickets in advance. However even if a show is "sold out" there is a stand-by line and more guests will be able to be seated.

You can see the full schedule of movies and times at www.statetheatretc.org
