MT. PLEASANT -- Mount Pleasant Police are searching for an armed robber who targeted a local business and got away with some cash Saturday afternoon.

Authorities say it happened at noon at the Advance America Cash Advance located on the 1700 Block of South Mission Street.

A man entered the business holding a gun and took an undisclosed amount of money. The suspect then fled on foot northbound through the parking lot.

At this time, authorities do not have reason to believe this incident is related to the robbery which took place in Isabella County earlier Saturday morning.

The suspect was described as a Hispanic or white male, approximately 30 years of age, approximately 5'09" in height, with a medium build and clean shaven. He was last seen wearing a black knit hat, puffy black coat, and black sunglasses.

If you have any information regarding this incident please contact Central Dispatch at 989-773-1000 or the Mt. Pleasant Tip Line at 989-779-9111.
