When Cherry Capital Cadillac Subaru needed to make a technology upgrade to their existing body shop, they decided that it was important to be earth-friendly.
“We wanted to create a safe atmosphere for our employees and their surroundings”, states Otto Belovich, owner of Cherry Capital Cadillac Subaru and Traverse Motors, “we searched all over for the best products to meet those needs.”
The search lead Otto to Englewood, Colorado. Garmat USA is the leading producer of earth friendly, downdraft painting systems in the world. Garmet USA worked with Otto to create the perfect paint system for Cherry Capital, which incorporates the PPG Waterborne Paint System that is extremely eco-friendly.
The new painting system uses special extraction media that captures 99% of hazardous particulate which keeps the environment around the body shop much cleaner. It also saves gas and electric usage with its special 90% recycle mode. Which in turn saves up to 50% of the operation cost of the old system.
Eco-Friendly wasn’t the only reason Otto chose Garmat USA. “Of course our customers repairs come first,” states Otto, “we really wanted to improve the final product and make sure our customers get a perfect repair to their vehicle.” Cherry Capital’s new paint booths create a dust-free clean room for a impeccable painted finish. The booth can rocket the temperature to 190 degrees within 90 seconds to create a factory finish with original depth and luster.
“The best part is the lighting,” says Chris Hall, body shop manager at Cherry Capital, “with the new lighting system inside the paint booth, a painter can see even the tiniest flaw in the body work.”
Cherry Capital is Northern Michigan’s only Cadillac Subaru dealer. Cherry Capital’s Body Shop has repaired thousands of vehicles for their customers and Traverse Motors customers as well.
