Moran Iron Works to Receive Patriot Award
American National Guard and Reserve forces

Onaway, Michigan-Moran Iron WorksTom Moran, founder and owner of Moran Iron Works, will be presented the Department of Defense distinguished Patriotic Award for going above and beyond requirements to support employee, SSg Matthew H Cherrette, currently serving in Afghanistan.
Matt has been employed at Moran Iron Works, as a welder, since 2010. SSg Cherrette, his wife Heather and their two children, Norah 3, and Mason 18 months, live in Rogers City, Michigan. Matt’s brother Chad is also an employee at Moran Iron Works.Matt nominated Tom Moran and Moran Iron Works for this distinguished award from his station in Afghanistan. The award will be presented on January 4, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. at Moran Iron Works, headquarters, in Onaway, Michigan by the Department of Defense Employee Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR).
