New search engine debuts for dining, entertainment
LANSING, Mich. – Wondering what to do on a Saturday night? Look no farther than LansingNightOut.com, a dining/entertainment search engine for the greater Lansing area.
Visitors to the LansingNightOut.com site will discover a range of events and specials going on around the city and region. “The inspiration behind this site has been our personal frustration at the lack of one website showcasing all the fun things to do in the area,” said Rob Yelvington, co-owner of the endeavor. “We set out to list every location in the region that is featuring live music, theater or restaurant/bar specials in town.” LansingNightOut.com also offers a free mobile app, My Night Out, for iPhone & Android. The mobile application is the first of its kind in mid-Michigan. After nearly six weeks of uploading information on music venues and restaurant specials, Yelvington and partner Jennie Petrovich feel they have enough information to help website visitors learn what is going on every night. “In the beginning, we had days where we had no events,” said Yelvington. “Now, we have as many as 25 events going on most nights.” In addition to live music, LansingNightOut.com lists theater options, comedy, festivals and other events from across the region. ###
