Ugly Kitchen Winner Announced! : Neighborhood : WPBN TV 7&4

		The winner of the Ugly Kitchen Contest has been announced. The Slack family from Traverse City will receive a $35,000 kitchen Makeover! Their kitchen was selected from more than 700 entries.
7&4's Rachel Melnick sat down with the family and asked them about their Kitchen and what this means to them. Watch the interview and see Interior Designer Shane Inman and 7&4 surprise the family with the news!

"Our kitchen is really old and it's not really functional and there's not a lot of space, not a lot of counter top, their really isn't a place for our family to get together. " -Amy Slack		Amy and Rick Slack have lived in their home for the last 15 years, but it's been in the Slack family since the 1930's The family says it hasn't seen an update since the 1950's.
	The make-over will include replacing the old vinyl tiles, adding a deep cast iron sink, and new cabinets.		Designer Shane Inman and 15 other businesses have volunteered to do the make-over.
"We were looking for the perfect fit for an Ugly Kitchen, and second of all, because its a give back to the community, we were looking for a very special personal story." - Shane Inman		7&4 News will be following the progress of the construction and will bring you all the updates.
