Diana Fairbanks co-anchors 7&4 News at 6pm and 11pm weekdays. She came to 7&4 in 1999 and anchored 7&4 News Today for 2 1/2 years. While at 7&4 she helped the station earn several distinctions including awards for breaking news and best newscast.

Diana graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Maryland with a BA in American Literature and a BA in Broadcast Journalism. After college she worked at KRTV in Great Falls, MT. She anchored there for 2 years, winning awards for writing and spot news coverage.

Diana has also been working with the Muscular Dystrophy Association since 1998. In her spare time she enjoys reading, cooking, skiing and swimming. One of her favorite places is the Sleeping Bear Dunes on Lake Michigan.

Diana has lived in many places and has family and friends around the world. Perhaps it's because she's seen so many places that she chooses to call northern Michigan home with her husband and daughter. "It is a truly special place."
