Hometown: Monroe, Michigan

Meghan Morelli is beyond thrilled to be starting her career as a reporter for 7 & 4 News in Traverse City.

Meghan grew up in Monroe Michigan, but she considers herself a native to the Great North because her family has been coming up here since she was little. TC has always been a day spot for family vacations, and Meghan says that each time she was here, “Something just felt right.”

Before joining the 7 & 4 news team, Meghan graduated from Central Michigan University where she studied broadcast & cinematic arts, and journalism. FIRE UP CHIPS! There, she was an anchor and entertainment reporter for News Central 34, and a radio host for Modern Rock 91.5.

The Chippewa’s may be her alma mater but she will always be a die hard Michigan fan. GO BLUE!

Meghan interned at 13 ABC in Toledo Ohio where she learned more about the field of broadcasting in three months than she had in all her years of school.

She first discovered that the crazy atmosphere of the news room was a perfect fit back in middle school when she was a host for her school’s television show, Trojan TV. She owes it all to her teacher, Mr. Pollzzie.

It’s the farthest Meghan has ever been from her parents, younger brother, her dog Belle, cat Jax, and the rest of her crazy and amazing family, but they are all very excited to have another excuse to head up to beautiful Northern Michigan to visit her.

When Meghan isn’t busy chasing down stories you can find her cooking up new recipes she finds on Pinterest, shopping in TJ Maxx, or curled up on the couch in her sweats with a good chick flick or Audrey Hepburn movie
