School: Michigan State University
Hometown: Armada, MI

Katie joined 7&4 News as the 5pm producer in June of 2012.

Katie graduated from Michigan State University in 2012 with a degree in journalism and is really excited to be a part of the 7&4 team.

At MSU, Katie produced the student-run Focal Point newscast and worked as a student director and production assistant for WKAR-TV.

Katie has interned for “MSU Today” on the Big Ten Network, as well as WXYZ-TV in Detroit. Katie also loves the technical side of TV. That passion has led her to intern as a staging and lighting assistant for “Backstage Pass” on WKAR-TV and worked almost every position behind the scenes.

Outside of the newsroom, Katie loves to sing and dance and enjoy the outdoors.
