Megan Moore
29&8 Ambassador

School: Kent State University
Hometown: Cincinnati, Ohio

Megan Moore joined the 29&8 team as the ABC Ambassador in July 2012. She jumped at the chance to move with her family to Traverse City after visiting the beautiful beaches and meeting so many friendly people.

Megan is a native to Cincinnati, Ohio where her beloved mother and family reside. She misses them dearly but is happy to have such a magnificent place to share with them when they visit.

Megan married her high school sweet heart, Nate and they are enjoying their first few years of marriage after dating for five years. They are overjoyed to raise their one-year-old son, Jayden in such a marvelous city where the fun never ends.
Her faith and her family mean everything to her and both keep her grounded.

Before taking over the ambassador position, Megan served as a producer, anchor, and reporter for TV2 KSU, which serves as Portage County’s local news source.

Megan graduated with high honors from Kent State University. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism. Megan is proud to say that she finished her last two years of college as a wife and mother raising her newborn son. She says it was quite a sight to see her holding Jayden as he napped in one hand and she typed papers with the other hand, but she got it done!

She was honored by the Society of Professional Journalists for her investigative work. Megan’s story about political advertisement records at Cleveland television stations aired on Moyers and Company and was featured on many national websites, including the Poynter Institute, Huffington Post, and NPR.
She is proud to have interned at WFMJ in Youngstown, Ohio.

Megan has a very competitive spirit and loves playing sports. She will play a pick-up game of volleyball every chance she gets. If you see her at the beach don’t be afraid to challenge her to a game of sand volleyball. But watch out, she has a mean spike!

How Pinteresting: Quick and creative last-minute gifts

Procrastination can get the best of us anytime of the year, but it can be even worse during the holidays. The bumper-to-bumper traffic can be enough to keep anyone inside until the holiday rush is over, but if you don't get out to get a gift you may be left feeling guilty once the gift giving begins. If you do get stuck in a rut this season, I found a few quick and inexpensive gifts you can whip up as late as 10 minutes before you're due to give a gift.
