Some Northern Michigan veterans are getting legal assistance on wheels.

A mobile law office is providing free help to low income veterans through out the state and on Tuesday it made a stop in Traverse City.

The University of Detroit Mercy School of Law is the only school in the country with a mobile law office.

Students say they are proud to give this service to the men and women who have served our country.

"Veterans face enormous difficulties as they try to obtain their benefits," says UDM law student Joon Sung, "and what we do wtihin the clinic is to represent veterans at all stages of the benefits process."

The mobile law clinic for veterans was started last May and has already helped more than 800 veterans.
