The Antrim County Sheriff's Office is investigating a felony complaint involving a teacher having sex with a student.  Deputies arrested 55 year old Michael Peterson of Ellsworth and a teacher at Ellsworth Community School for three counts of Criminal Sexual Conduct in the First Degree.

Just a week from today, the area's largest school district will vote to cut millions of dollars from its budget and the staff could feel huge impacts.  Traverse City Area Public Schools needs to slash $6 million from its budget and last week a budget advisory task force released its recommendations on what areas should be cut.
